Acadiana Christian Athletics (ACA), a prominent homeschool sports organization based in Lafayette, Louisiana, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone. For the first time in history, five of its athletes have been selected to participate in the prestigious Dream All-American Bowl, making them the first homeschool athletes to earn this honor. The event was held at the iconic New Orleans Caesars Superdome, providing a national stage for these talented young men.
The Dream All-American Bowl is a nationally renowned event that showcases the top high school football prospects from across the United States. With games hosted at premier venues like AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and now the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, the event offers participants unparalleled exposure to college recruiters, high-level coaching, and a chance to compete alongside the best of the best.
The selected ACA athletes include:
• Lukas Skipper: A dynamic linebacker standing 6 feet tall and weighing 175 pounds, Skipper is known for his speed, powerful tackling, and ability to read offensive schemes. His versatility in zone and man coverage makes him a standout on the field.
• Mayson Wilson: An agile offensive lineman standing at 5’11” and weighing 225 pounds, Wilson is celebrated for his quickness, strength, and technical prowess. His run-blocking and pass-protection skills have made him a cornerstone of ACA’s offense.
• Gabriel Neuville: A 5’10”, 135-pound wide receiver, Neuville is a game-changer with his exceptional speed, sharp route-running, and reliable hands. His ability to attack the ball and create big plays adds significant value to his team.
• Lewis Jackson Hayles: Standing at an imposing 6’3” and weighing 295 pounds, Hayles is a dominant offensive lineman with the skill to read defenses and execute pancake blocks effortlessly. As the senior class vice president and varsity team captain, Hayles exemplifies leadership both on and off the field.
• Luke Warner Smith: A 6’4”, 160-pound quarterback, Smith is a pocket passer known for his accuracy, strong arm, and agility. With accolades in football and track and field, Smith’s athleticism and leadership make him a pivotal figure on the team.
In addition to this historic achievement, ACA’s Head Coach Seth Johnson was personally selected by Coach Tony Cade to assist with the defense on Cade’s Dream Team, further cementing ACA’s place in the national spotlight.
ACA has a strong tradition of success, competing against top teams from Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. Their participation in the Louisiana Independent Football Tournament emphasizes their mission to excel in competition, character, and ministry.
