[Ville Platte, LA] BOOM! The cannon fires, the gates creak open, and the year is 1699 in Post Bonhomie once more. The Acadiana Renaissance Faire invites you to journey back in time, where the melodies of minstrels fill the air, the clash of steel echoes through the woods, and the scent of roasted turkey legs drifts on the breeze. Starting January 18 through February 16, 2025, join us every Saturday (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) as we laissez les bons temps rouler in the heart of Evangeline Parish.
Founded as Acadiana Renaissance Fête in 2022 on borrowed property in Opelousas, LA, the event rebranded to Acadiana Renaissance Faire after acquiring 100 acres in Ville Platte (Chataignier) in 2023. Our 2024 season marked the grand opening of this permanent site, where Acadiana’s rich Cajun heritage meets the whimsical fantasy of a traditional Renaissance Faire.
Set in the age of exploration, the faire transforms 629 Mount Carmel Road, Ville Platte, LA, into a lively 18th- century village. Whether you’re a pirate, a mischievous fey, or a curious traveler, adventure awaits just 5 miles north of U.S. 190. Easily accessible via GPS or our website, the faire welcomes guests from near and far.
This family-friendly event offers entertainment for all ages, including thrilling reenactments, lively music, acrobats, belly dancers, fire jugglers, and epic battles featuring pirates, Celts, Vikings, and more.
Admission: Adults $13 per day, or $20 for an adult weekend pass. Children (6-12) $7, and kids 5 & under are free. A Weekend Family Pass (2 adults, 2 children) is $70. Season passes are $100 per adult or $300 per family of four. Parking is free.
