Event Details

Lighting and decorations brighten Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, which serves as the town’s main street, and also Church Street, which leads to the historic St. Charles Church and college.

The gift shops will be open offering refreshments and sales of antiques, jewelry, clothing, packaged sweets, home décor, and other unique gift items. Enjoy holiday traditions such as carriage rides and live music, including Christmas carols.  Children will be delighted by photos with Santa and with the Grinch; and the outdoor movie, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, in the snow village.

Stroll by the life-sized nativity scene displayed in town—be sure to bring the entire family for a memorable evening in a quaint village atmosphere.  There will be plenty of food for sale from local cafés and snacks from concession stands, including popcorn and hot chocolate.

Grand Noel has been a holiday tradition for over 15 years. For many families, this is an annual event and an opportunity to entertain out-of-town guests.

Grand Noel is sponsored by Grand Coteau Cultural Foundation, a non-profit organization.  The event also receives support from the St. Landry Parish Tourism Commission.
