Parc de Oaks, Lafayette's oak-shaded food truck park, is turning its lawn into a pumpkin patch for three straight weekends: October 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25, with food trucks, pumpkin painting, kids activities and photo ops.
Under the Oaks, Pumpkins Take Over: Parc de Oaks Opens Its 2026 Pumpkin Patch
LAFAYETTE, La. — The oak-shaded lawn at 3302 Moss Street is about to look a lot more orange. Parc de Oaks, Lafayette's home for food truck dining, is bringing back its Pumpkin Patch for 2026, and this year it stretches across three full weekends: October 9-11, October 16-18 and October 23-25.
The event is presented by Amos Landscaping, and organizers are billing it as one of Acadiana's most unique pumpkin patches, a fall tradition set under the park's live oaks instead of in a farm field.
What's on the Menu
The flyer for this year's patch promises a full lineup for families and fall fans alike:
Food trucks, the main draw at Parc de Oaks every day of the year, will be on site throughout the weekends. Pumpkin picking and pumpkin painting let kids pick out their favorite and take it home decorated. Kids activities, face painting and photo ops with fall backdrops round out the family side of the event.
This year's lineup also includes CMA on the Go, the Children's Museum of Acadiana's mobile program, and a hands-on activity by Let's Create.
A Park Built Around Food
Parc de Oaks was created by Christopher and Andrea Amos, who opened it as the city-parish's first dedicated food truck park on a shaded lawn on Moss Street. Since then it has grown into a neighborhood gathering spot, with a rotating lineup of trucks serving everything from Jamaican oxtail and jerk chicken to crepes, plus an outdoor setting that regulars say is part of the appeal. Its pumpkin patch weekends have become a seasonal tradition for local families.
The Amos family also runs Amos Landscaping, the presenting sponsor of this year's patch.
Plan Your Visit
Past patches have been free to enter, with parking limited on site, so carpooling is a good idea. In 2025, the patch ran Friday evenings and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Hours for 2026 were not listed on this year's flyer, so check Parc de Oaks' Facebook page for the daily schedule and the food truck lineup before you go.
