Midas Automotive has opened a new full-service auto repair location at 3115 W. Pinhook Road in Lafayette, offering oil changes, brakes, tires, diagnostics, A/C repair and more.
LAFAYETTE, LA — Acadiana drivers have a new option for automotive repair and maintenance, as Midas Automotive has officially opened its doors on West Pinhook Road in Lafayette.
The new Midas is located at 3115 W. Pinhook Road and offers full-service automotive maintenance and repair for cars, trucks and SUVs. The shop opened in early September.
More Than Oil Changes
While many drivers may immediately associate the Midas name with mufflers, brakes and oil changes, the Lafayette location offers considerably more.
Services include oil changes, brake repair, tires, wheel alignments, suspension work, air-conditioning repair, engine diagnostics and general automotive repairs. The Lafayette shop says it uses ASE-certified technicians and digital vehicle inspections designed to give customers a clearer look at recommended repairs before work begins.
That's particularly relevant in South Louisiana, where keeping the A/C working isn't exactly optional.
A Different Approach to the Repair-Shop Experience
The company is also putting an emphasis on what it calls “Auto Hospitality.”
The idea is fairly straightforward: make taking your vehicle to the shop a little less intimidating and a little more transparent. That includes communicating what's happening with the vehicle, explaining recommended repairs and providing customers with updates throughout the process.
Convenience is also part of the equation. The Lafayette operation advertises options including shuttle service, loaner vehicles, appointment scheduling and a customer waiting area.
Part of a Bigger Gulf South Expansion
The Lafayette opening isn't a one-off.
According to Developing Lafayette's initial report, the ownership group behind the location has opened 12 Midas locations across Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee during the past three years, making Lafayette part of a larger expansion across the region.
For Acadiana, it also means another national automotive brand planting a flag along the busy Pinhook Road corridor.
