Extremely hot and muggy weather is settling into Acadiana over the next few days. Feels like temperatures are starting in the mid 80s this Wednesday morning. Heat index values are expected go above 105° in much of the area this afternoon. Isolated showers and storms are possible but rain chance stay low at 30%.
Dangerous levels of heat continue into the 4th of July and this weekend. Make sure to hydrate and take breaks when working outside.
