Scattered showers and storms are moving through Acadiana this Monday morning but should quickly come to an end by 7 a.m. There is a low risk for severe weather as a couple storms could produce damaging winds or an isolated tornado. Another round of scattered rain is possible during the afternoon if the atmosphere can recover and destabilize enough. Otherwise, the weather today will be hot, muggy, and breezy with highs in the lower 90s.

The stormy pattern continues through the Father’s Day Weekend. Heavy rains could lead to localized flash flooding. The severe threat should remain low each day too.
