Quieter weather is starting in Acadiana as rainfall is well to the west in Texas. Heavy showers and storms become likely this afternoon as rain chances increase to 70%. There is a low risk for severe weather and a few storms could cause localized flash flooding. Before the rain arrives, conditions should turn hot and breezy as temps climb into the upper 80s.
The stormy pattern continues through Friday. The weather pattern settles down this weekend but isolated rain is still possible on Sunday.
