IBERIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) — A search warrant has led to the seizure of various illegal narcotics and firearms in Iberia Parish.

Earlier this morning, members of the New Iberia Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of East Peter Street.

Officials said the search warrant was obtained as a result of a narcotics investigation after receiving multiple complaints about narcotics being distributed by an occupant of the residence.

The seized narcotics include:

  • approximately .9 pounds of suspected marijuana
  • approximately 1.2 pounds of suspected MDMA (Ecstasy)
  • approximately 1.1 ounces of suspected crystal meth
  • approximately 8.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • suspected codeine
  • suspected suboxone
  • (9) firearms – 2 of the firearms confirmed stolen

The following individuals were arrested and booked into an Iberia Parish jail:

Kwaymar Michael, 36:

  • Possession with intent to distribute a schedule I CDS (Marijuana)
  • Possession with intent to distribute a schedule I CDS (MDMA)
  • Possession with intent to distribute a schedule II CDS (Crystal Meth)
  • Possession with intent to distribute a schedule II CDS (Crack Cocaine)
  • Possession of schedule IV CDS (Codeine)
  • Possession of a schedule III CDS (Suboxone)
  • Two counts of illegal possession of a stolen firearm
  • Nine counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Nine counts of possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS
  • Two counts of possession of a CDS in the presence of a juvenile
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Second or subsequent narcotics violations

Robilyn Bartley, 37:

  • Illegal possession of a stolen firearm
