The birth of a homegrown clothing company
The common denominator of men and their wardrobes is the dress shirt. The “average” man can find a shirt just about anywhere, and some brands cater to “big and tall” guys. But wait…what about the “short and fat” guys out there?
Blake Adams and Jeff Martin are behind a new market to fit the men that have been left behind, and their company’s hilarious name is ShortAndFat.com.
The concept originated in November 2016 when the two men decided that they wanted to find a way to serve the community that has been overlooked and to give “short and fat” men the opportunity to find clothing that fits them properly.
“Amazingly, these two character traits seem to run together often – especially in the south! Our culture is filled with future customers!” Adams jokingly said.
The clothing line will begin with a dress shirt that will have a proper neck-arm-waist-length and shoulder construction focused on fitting “right” for each S&F’s unique build. Eventually the company will introduce pants, sports coats and suits.
Give ‘Em A Kick-Start
ShortAndFat.com is working on their campaigning through their Facebook page with viral videos explaining the product line, a Kickstarter account that accepts donations to get the project moving, and a website with a free 21-day online course that promotes short and fat guys to dress better.
Adams explained that ShortAndFat.com wants to help guys look good today, not at an unnamed date in the future after they “lose” some weight.
