When the owners are away, the pups will play
All In One Spot
When Trey Boone entered college to study finance, he didn’t imagine that one day he would open a successful dog care center. Today he is the owner and operator of The Dog Stop, located in Lafayette on Pinhook Road.
Doggie day care allows dogs to socialize while getting the exercise they need. If overnight services are needed, each dog siestas in a five foot by five foot suite.
Boone and his staff make sure every pet enjoys their time in a safe environment. There is no such thing as a lazy dog day afternoon either.
Each day is filled with exercise, challenging games and education puzzles. By pickup your fur baby has been quite busy.
Before any dog can stay, an assessment test is done. This gives the staff an idea of the dog’s temperament and personality, focusing on how he or she will fit in with fellow companions.
Dogs receive one-on-one service to make sure their needs are being met. If your buddy is having problems eating or socializing, the staff takes note and makes sure parent receives an update. Dogs leave happy and look forward to their next visit.
Boarding In Style
Located in Lafayette for the last eight years, Camp Bow Wow recently celebrated their grand re-opening. It allowed new doggie parents a tour of the facility, catering and even a doggie disco. Young and old enjoyed seeing how much fun and attention their pets have while staying at camp.
Owner Suzette Fowler wanted to make sure every dog resides comfortably. Offering doggie day care and overnight services to their clients allow pet loving families to have a safe place to leave their best friend.
Camp Bow Wow provides a wide arrangement of specialty services. From in-home pet care to dog grooming, making sure pets are happy is their top priority. They have also designed a Kid’s Camp, specializing in showing children how to approach their dog and how to incorporate fun games into the training process.
One thing is certain when visiting the camp: the staff have a true affection for dogs. They show great care for their buddies, making sure each is enjoying their stay and completely worn-out by the time a parent shows up. Daily reviews are provided to inform owners of moods and eating habits for their fur baby.
As the camp slogan says, Camp Bow Wow is the place where a dog can be a dog.
Care for Young and Old
Lafayette Veterinary Care Center offers not only doggie day care options, but medical, surgical and dental care for your pet as well. Located off Johnston Street in Lafayette, they provide day stays to week long boarding.
Parents need not worry that their dog will be bored throughout the day. The center takes great care to provide games, interaction with other dogs and VIP snacks. Overnight dogs can enjoy a choice of themed suites to relax in, from LSU Tigers to New Orleans Saints.
A specialty of the clinic is the care given to older dogs who may need a little more help with eating and getting around. An area has been arranged for these elders to play away from young, excited puppies, allowing the older dog to get exercise at his or her own pace. Their suites even have glass that muffles the sounds coming from other pets.
With separate but connected facilities for the doggie resort and veterinary hospital, you can be assured that whatever need your dog has can be met here. The center has qualified doctors and staff with many years of experience in serving the needs of your pet.
