A brand-new kind of entertainment hits town
Epic Entertainment officially opened its doors June 29. The anticipation of the new outdoor recreation facility has been sweeping the area. Its midsummer opener was met with a bit of rain; however, fun was definitely had despite the less than favorable weather conditions. If your family didn’t get a chance to make it, here’s the 411.
What is EPIC Entertainment?
EPIC Entertainment is the fun-inspired, family business owned by Keith and Cathy Galloway. Their goal is to bring a new kind of place, filled with various activities, exhilaration and laughter. Most of all, they want something for everyone in the family to participate in without breaking the bank.
What awaits us?
The current facility features outdoor attractions for all ages, such as a zipline, zero-gravity trampoline, a four-person gyroscope ride, dual 20-foot racing slides and a huge 40-foot slide with a launch onto an air-filled landing pad. There is an area for smaller children, and you can also play multiple games under the outdoor tent.
Refreshments are available indoors and include everything from candy and popcorn to pizza and barbecue burgers. Although they are having a big start, plans for expansion are already in place.
What does the future hold?
The future of Epic Entertainment looks to move indoors and expand their attractions to include multiple climbing challenges, an arcade, virtual reality, a 12-person roller coaster and a full restaurant/bar and grill for starters. They are also planning the addition of a smaller, softer version of the bigger attractions for the littlest thrill seekers.
How does it all work?
Rides and games run on a ticket system varying by activity. Tickets are $1 each, and you can save by purchasing 25 tickets for $20. Tickets are reusable for future visits and never expire. However, the area set aside for smaller children to play on inflatables is a steal at just $5 per hour per child. Bring the whole family to have a blast and keep some jingle in your pocket!
Where is it and how can we find out more?
EPIC Entertainment is located at 130 N. Ambassador Caffery Parkway, currently sharing space with Single Source Supply and Louisiana Commercial Laundry. Find out more information by calling 337-456-6556 or by visiting epicentertainment.fun.
